Instructions and Important Information for Applicants

Eligibility:  This program is intended for individuals who have recently completed their bachelor's degree in a STEM major within the last 12 months with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and whose career potential toward cancer research and oncology will significantly benefit from an extended mentorship and exposure to the cancer research environment.
 
Admission: 
Selected individuals will be required to undergo a criminal background check and drug screen, which Moffitt will cover the costs of. HR will require the submission of additional forms and documentation.

Additional required documents:

  1. Two letters of reference (one from a person familiar with the student academically and one from a person familiar with the student through other extra-curricular/community service activities) Letters should describe the writer's relationship with the applicant and should either address the applicant's academic performance, their professionalism, or through extra-curricular/community service activities. These letters are very important to the selection committee to make distinctions among the candidates.  
  2. Academic Transcripts. The program will accept unofficial transcripts in the application packet.  Official transcripts will only be required of those who are selected for the Program. Electronic copies of transcripts can be uploaded directly into the application. If electronic copies are not possible, have them mailed to:
